Commissioned from an open submission for the Falmouth Town redevelopment project in 2001. This is one of eight projects of sculptural street furniture designed for the new piazza area in the centre of Falmouth.

These tree grates are 3metres across and celebrate the maritime connection of Falmouth through the use of marine life images. These are set into the basic pattern of a ship’s compass seen as if under water.
