	These are undertaken as competitions or by commissions through direct contact with a client. Though they may have formal connections with my studio based work, the public art works are not a simple extension of that practice. My approach, if at all possible, is to seek points of connection with the locality in which the work will stand, and to thus to give them value and resonance within their own environment.
